The Carpenter's Arms Mayfield, East Sussex is a beautiful 17th century beamed free house with bar and restaurant. This family owned freehold is run by Jason & Lucy Hazeldine-Cowan. The pub is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty in East Sussex. In the winter months, enjoy a cosy drink and meal in front of the open log fires. In the summer months, take advantage of the attractive outdoor area which features a patio with locally made oak furniture under a beautiful handcrafted pergoda.On a warm summers day, this is a real sun trap! Well behaved children and dogs on a lead are always welcome.
Locally Sourced Food, Fantastic Sunday Roasts, Cask Cider & Real Ale!Our menus are sourced from some of the best local suppliers, featuring traditional fayre with seasonal vegetables. Choose from our Main Menu selection, or if you fancy something a bit lighter, try our Light Bites/Bar Snacks menu. We also cater for children with a range of kids favourites (Please see Main Menu). Alongside our main menus are the popular over 60's lunchtime menu, as well as Sunday Roasts - don't spend your weekend slaving over a hot stove and washing up bowl - let us feed you and your family with fantastic home cooked food at great value! A range of real ales and casked ciders are always available, featuring Harveys of Sussex award winning Best Bitter as well as other guest beers. We pride ourselves on our Ciders too, with Stowford Press, Bulmers Original and Strongbow available, and, in the summer months, a guest Cider is also on tap.
